2026 Class 5 - Normal Grey

Judges Comments:

Beautiful class for budgerigars. The contrast between the wing, the body, the crispness in the wing, the clarity, all those things make up very good budgerigars. Plus, you've got power, you've got width across the face, depth of mask, good throat, spot, and position. Overall, a very lovely class.

Cage A owned by Graham McCallum from South Australia, the bird is massive through the feather length. It's good depth of mass stands off. It's a little bit rough, yeah, but as a budgerigar, it is absolutely special. Brilliant, brilliant budgerigar.

Cage I owned by Hedra Kamel from Victoria, He came second. Again, a lovely follow through bird on the perch, beautiful wing carriage, lovely crispness in the wing, nice spot. It only has a little bit of a feather width at the back of the neck, which is neither here nor there. But another lovely bird with a beautiful width and lateral feathering, depth of mass and showed itself brilliantly all day.

We go to cage R, cage O, cage U. All, again, lovely, strong budget guards showing that beautiful feather, the dense capping.
