Judges Comments:

Its always nice to finish the day with a quality class. Top 13-14 birds in this class have excellent qualities. The top 4 are crackamundos and I don’t think that's written anywhere in the standard, but they are beautiful birds.

Cage K owned by M Paoli from Victoria, she just stood up there. So much shoulder, plenty of power. She's not clean, but you know it's like find the clean budgie in this class that all have a little bit of ticking. But all acceptable. We love this bird. She is a beautiful bird.

Cage F owned by Garry & Helen Hibberd from South Queensland, The second hen has the same direction of feather just didn't quite have the same shoulder, but she stood up, showed well.

Cage B owned by Holmes Family from South Australia, has a beautiful soft cap feather, going all in the right place. However, being an opaline variety, if you look, a lot of the markings are washed out in the wings. There are big areas of body colour instead of markings.

Cage D owned by M & D Gearing from Western Australia, is a green cock bird. We had him up the front for a start, and as the others progressed and moved forward, he just lacked a little bit of shoulder. He's a showman, he stood there all day. Nice to see an Opaline Dilute.
