Judges Comments:

Some very, very nice birds in this class. You're really splitting hairs with some, but that's what our job is.

Cage K owned by John Ennis from Victoria, he is not giving his best angles at the moment, but when this fella gets on the perch and relaxes and shows, you could almost paste him on the standard. He's got the perfect shape and lines, beautiful cap feather, directional feather, a little bit of ticking, but not enough to worry to go any lower, but when he relaxes and lets it go, just a superb budgie. It really is a nice bird.

Cage R owned Ali Humadi from Victoria, probably a little bit better in markings than the first bird. Lovely bullseye spots, just hasn't quite got as much feather over the top, but a lovely bird with directional feather, Active feather stands up really well and worth the bird winning second.

Cage U owned by Marilyn & Terry Benbow from South Queensland, the third bird in Cage U, came up a bit the longer he was in the cage, the more he settled. Yeah, it's lovely downward hook and direction. The lovely cap, really good spangle markings, and he worked his way up to third, so credit to him.

Cage T owned by Holmes Family from South Australia, probably one of the better-faced birds. He's got really massive direction. Lovely clean cap, he just needs to be stretched out a bit. He's very short in keel. But other than that, he has not moved. He's got a beautiful directional face and cap on him. Obviously, I can see where the breeder is trying to go and it deserves to be in that spot.
