Judges Comments:
The Clearbody class was a strong class. We had a variation in some of the styles of the birds. We were looking for features across the face, the depth of mask, good spot, good wing carriage and clean through the body.
Cage F owned by Ali Humadi from Victoria, a strong bird stands well off the perch. Lovely line, maybe lacking a wee bit more lateral feathering that we would like moving forward, but the bird itself was very strong and didn't do anything wrong. Beautiful wing carriage, lovely definitions through the body, a clear body, and the yellow face just seems to give it that little bit extra push through the capping, but a very lovely bird, and a well-deserved winner.
Cage B owned DAD Budgerigars from New South Wales, we started moving into birds that had that lateral feathering. We started to get that coming through with these later birds. Just the showmanship of cage, just go with that little bit extra push, that little bit extra to move that bird into second place.
Cage E owned by George England from South Australia and Cage A owned by George England from South Australia, Again, we had two beautiful hens in a E and A that stood up lovely presentation in the show cage. Preparation was brilliant, their markings were nice and clear, true value within the variety, but they had this beautiful capping that was coming through. I might emphasize on that. However, when you look at E compared A, these birds on a different day would have probably moved up even higher and push for the number one.
