Summation by Alan Rowe

Nice Black Eye class and we were pleasantly surprised.

First owned by Ray Slade (South Australia) is a big powerful bird, stylish, good variety and a nice top end.

Second owned by John Mulley (South Australia) again is a good variety bird, not as good in the top end and not the quality as the winner and is a little fat which spoils his shape.

Third owned by Wayne Cusack (New South Wales) again has good variety but lacks head width.

Fourth owned by R & C Ogden (Q’land North & Central Zone) is a nice variety yellow but will not perch to his disadvantage.

Fifth owned by Rowe Brothers (Victoria) has nice variety, unfortunately lies across the perch and not as strong in presentation as those placed above it.

As you go down the line the birds are down in colour and others there is a fine line between Black Eye Selves and Dilutes.
